♥ mini-sessions ♥
Mini-session days are a guaranteed party!
We set up camp for day at a pre-planned location and welcome families for a 45 minute photography play session that results in some posed photos, and lots of laughing, and general merriment. I ask that you come 15 minutes before your shoot time to check in at basecamp with Sheila, get comfortable, ,and feel the love. You will be able to leave strollers, bags, and such at base-camp. Mini-sessions are designed to be simple, fun, and efficient. Please keep with one outfit, but feel free to bring hats, scarfs, favorite toys or any other prop like item.
♥ full session ♥
When planning for your session, prepare for a relaxed experience full of play smiles, and laughter. Posed pictures are awesome and we will get lots of those…also, the pictures in between the pictures are often the ones that most often capture
the real organic love and joy in your world.
The kids will be running, jumping, and smiling!
Have faith that the session will result in photos that demonstrate the happy connection of your family, naturally. Stress-free play time that ends in a photographed togetherness. Bring too much stuff! Grab a rolling suitcase and bring things that make your family happy. Favorite toys, a kids chair that you sat in when you were little, Blankies, a hat grandma made, other precious things that may want to find their way into a picture. Things to think about – Sometimes family pictures are story book adorable, and that is wonderful and sometimes it is fun to mix it up. Consider letting your kids decide what they want to wear for some of the pictures. The way my family takes family pictures is I let everyone go crazy and pic what they want to put on. It has resulted in capes, fedoras, cowboy hats, favorite t-shirts, three piece suits, fancy skirts, and hulk costumes. The fun memories we have of taking those personality pictures is a tremendous bonus and everyone looks ecstatic HAPPY and totally themselves. That’s the way I want them to remember pictures! Think about bring something for the adults to get a professional head shot. Tossing on a collared shirt or a blazer is a great way to get a new picture for your email profile and LinkedIn. Bring the grandparents! You would be amazed at how much we can get done in a session. Wouldn’t it be great to get some professional cuddle pics with grandma and grandpa?
Think bigger than this shoot.
What pictures will you need in the future? Whether it’s for LinkedIn, Facebook, your blog, the book you are going to write, the conference you are going to speak at, your e-harmony page, a holiday card or party invitation? Lots and lots of pics. Think of what kind of pictures you might need in the future. Bring clothes and props that support a variety of different types of picture styles and needs so that we can DELIVER MORE THAN YOU EVEN THOUGHT POSSIBLE through this shoot.
